Postcodes. Infallible?
What’s in a postcode eh?
Once upon a time way back in the 1970s (when Adam was only an apprentice Ant, and Harold Wilson was Prime Minister) we were given our very own postcode (SW19 8EX) because as a Mailing House we posted a huge amount of mail each week.
Fast forward nearly 40 years and sadly Google maps hasn’t quite caught up and for some reason places us approx 500 yards away on a completely different road!
You might not think this would be such a problem (and believe me we have contacted Google to try and get our ‘pin’ moved) but with approximately 10 delivery/collections each day the phrase “My satnav took me to Weir Road instead of Wellington Road” is something I hear almost as many times as I say ‘I can’t read that, I haven’t got my glasses’!
So if you ever fancy visiting and taking Vida’s legendary ‘Pink Champagne tour’ of Outmere Direct Mail stick SW19 8EY in the satnav…….gets you much closer!
